Celebration of Art and Culture

M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women has celebrated its first day of the
annual fest, Shringar started at 4p.m on Dec 4,2017 in the college
auditorium.

Lalitha Balakrishnan (principal of the college) inaugurated the celebration
of art and culture and said that "the word Shringar means passion to
perform in the highest level".
The program started with an invocation by Janani.P. Kandalu. The first
performance of the evening was a dance recital by Smt.Archana Raja,
Disciple of Smt.Sheela Unnikrishnan. Archana has been practicing
Bharatanatyam for 15 years and has done alot of programs and won several
awards for the same.

Next performance was given by a violin concert by Smt.
CharumathiRaghuraman, disciple of Prof.T.N.Krishnan accompanied by
Anantha.R.Krishnan on Mridangam. She has also won many awards notably
Young Achiever Award for her spectacular violin recital. The principal then
presented Star Alumni Award to the performers.
