M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women has celebrated its first day of the\r\nannual fest, Shringar started at 4p.m on Dec 4,2017 in the college\r\nauditorium.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLalitha Balakrishnan (principal of the college) inaugurated the celebration\r\nof art and culture and said that &quot;the word Shringar means passion to\r\nperform in the highest level&quot;.\r\nThe program started with an invocation by Janani.P. Kandalu. The first\r\nperformance of the evening was a dance recital by Smt.Archana Raja,\r\nDisciple of Smt.Sheela Unnikrishnan. Archana has been practicing\r\nBharatanatyam for 15 years and has done alot of programs and won several\r\nawards for the same.\r\n\r\nNext performance was given by a violin concert by Smt.\r\nCharumathiRaghuraman, disciple of Prof.T.N.Krishnan accompanied by\r\nAnantha.R.Krishnan on Mridangam. She has also won many awards notably\r\nYoung Achiever Award for her spectacular violin recital. The principal then\r\npresented Star Alumni Award to the performers.
