Orkut Buyukkokten, a former Google employee who founded the trendsetter social networking website Orkut more than a decade ago now launched a new social network \u201cHello\u201d in India on Wednesday. \u201cHello\u201d brings people together around their interests to create positive, meaningful, authentic connections and sustained social engagement, the company viewed.\u201cWe designed \u2018Hello\u2019 to help you make connections in the real world. It\u2019s a social network built on loves not likes, and I\u2019m delighted to say \u2018Hello\u2019 to India once again,\u201d said Buyukkokten.\r\n\r\nHello was reportedly in beta phase for a long time but Orkut has struck while the iron is hot. The app, currently available in\u00a0Brazil\u00a0with nearly one million downloads. It is now live on the\u00a0Apple\u00a0App Store and\u00a0Google\u00a0Play Store. The new social network platform focusses on your hobbies, obsessions and passions and lets you choose personas to show your interest areas. The firm is headquartered in San Francisco and with a development office in Mountain View, California. \u201cPassions are often the start of our conversations in real life.
