The Kollywood film industry has atlast called off the strike. The issue has raised because of the enormous prices being charged by the digital distribution companies likely Qube Cinema Technology and UFO. So none of the movies were released from March 1st.\r\n\r\n48 days after the Tamil industry's strike, the TFPC announced decisions that have been taken in a meeting involving stakeholders. Reports say that there will now be transparency about box office collections of films, computerised ticketing, reduction in online booking charges, and flexible ticket pricing. The DSPs have also reportedly slashed their VPF rates.Jayendra Panchapakesan of Qube cinema also confirmed that the strike has been called off officially.\r\n\r\nFirst time in Tamil industry, the strike has gone for a long time. Despite heavy loss of around Rs 10-15 crore a day, the Kollywood film industry stood united and faced everything.
