Reconfirming the announcement that the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council will go on strike from March 1. They have released a statement saying, the decision was taken for the benefit of all the film industries from around India. They informed that no film will be releasing in theatres until they announce the next statement.
It is said that the marginal percentage was offered to be reduced but however it was not accepted by the film producers. The producers will still work on their shoot and do all the production work as always.
Even after the third round of talks the problem between Digital service producers and film producers is not solved. Sources say that the Visual Projection Fee demanded by DSPs like Qube and UFO are too high. Some producers have also spoken against DSPs, saying that they are running a ‘scam’.
