Three TN Officers To Get President’s Medal

Additional Director-General of Police (Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation) M.N. Manjunatha, Inspector-General of Police (South Zone) K.P Shanmuga Rajeswaran and Additional Superintendent of Police (Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption) S. Thirunavukarasu have been selected for prestigious President’s medal for distinguished service. These three police officials are from Tamilnadu.

Manjunatha contributed an important role in arresting the Maoist leader Kalidoss and the successful prosecution of Al-Umma activists. Shanmuga Rajeswaran was also involved in some of the important murder cases in the city.

A.T Durai Kumar, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Central Bureau of Investigation; B. Vijayakumari, Joint Commissioner of Police (West), Chennai Police; M. Pandian, Superintendent of Police (Uniformed Services Recruitment Board); S. Rajendran, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Kilpauk); M.S. Muthusamy, DCP (St. Thomas Mount); P. Pakalavan, SP (Vellore) were chosen in the category of police medal for meritorious service among 23 officers, inspectors and sub-inspectors.
